This project is my trial run at writing a book series, exploring a creative workflow that blends my own prose with AI-assisted tools. Your feedback throughout this process is genuinely appreciated.
I’m beginning with an adult adventure novel titled Ghost Thread: A Series. For this project, I use a combination of AI programs to help shape outlines, maintain continuity, and ensure consistency within each book and across the series as a whole.
Ghost Thread is entirely born from my own ideas—plots, characters, and themes dictated to AI in exchange for immediate feedback. I’ve found AI useful for keeping me focused, sometimes by asking exactly the right questions and other times by challenging me with questions that veer completely off track. Through this process, I also develop a “series bible” to track characters, plot points, and world-building details, helping maintain cohesion throughout the story.
I don’t rely on AI as a writer, nor do I let it steer the ship. Instead, it provides a rough framework based on my dictation, which I then refine and rewrite in my own voice. I enjoy the use of AI as an editor—polishing spelling, tense, and the smaller technical issues that naturally arise during the writing process.
